US Online Casino Revenue Hits Record $905.6 Million in March 2025

**United States** - Regulated online casino platforms across the United States delivered an unprecedented performance in March 2025, collectively generating a new monthly record for gross revenue. Operators in the seven states where iCasino is legal combined to report a staggering **$905.6 million** in gross revenue for the month. This landmark figure represents a robust **26.2% increase** compared to the revenue generated in March of the previous year, underscoring the significant growth trajectory of the regulated US iGaming market. March traditionally stands out as a peak month for online casino activity, often benefiting from strategic cross-promotion with mobile sports wagering. The NCAA Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments, in particular, serve as a major catalyst. As the largest annual multi-week sports betting event in the US, the tournaments attract a wide audience, including many newer and casual bettors who can then be effectively introduced to other gaming verticals, such as online slots and table games. The strong national performance in March was mirrored across all seven regulated states. Each state reported year-over-year increases in either gross or adjusted gross revenue (AGR) exceeding 20%, and all seven set a new monthly all-time high in at least one of these key metrics. Notably, platforms in Pennsylvania came close to reaching the $300 million mark in gross winnings, a figure that seemed almost unimaginable at the close of 2023 when the state first surpassed $200 million monthly revenue. State governments were significant beneficiaries of this record-breaking revenue boom. Collectively, they saw **$177.1 million** flow into state coffers from $827.6 million in adjusted gross revenue generated by operators in March. This tax figure represents a substantial $41.1 million increase compared to the tax receipts collected in March 2024 and does not include any revenue disbursed at the local level. While states like Pennsylvania, Michigan, and New Jersey rightly draw significant attention for setting their own all-time monthly operator revenue highs, each topping $240 million gross and $235 million AGR, the national record could not have been achieved without commensurate growth across the other four regulated states. Their combined performance played a vital role in propelling the total market past the $900 million threshold for the first time.
