"We Don't Build a Game Factory": Anna Satori on Baking Soul Back into the Slot Machine

    iGaming Times · Published December 29, 2025 · Updated April 15, 2026

In a market saturated with reskins and "fast-food" slots, Anna Satori is asking for something different: more yeast. As the Founder and CEO of Omnitronix and its in-house studio Mooncake, she views game development not as manufacturing, but as "culinary storytelling."

We sat down with her to discuss why narrative-led retention is the future, how her "Warp Engine" RGS solves the integration backlog, and why she turned down investor money to save her company's soul.

    The Culinary Vision

iGaming Times: You describe Mooncake Studio as "culinary storytellers." In a market flooded with generic slots, how do you operationalise this philosophy?

Anna Satori: At Mooncake Studio, "culinary storytelling" isn’t just a slogan; it’s the foundation of how we build games. We treat every game like an artisan baker treats their signature recipe: selecting premium ingredients, kneading creativity into every layer, and shaping irresistible pieces that players can’t help but bite into.

Coming from a PR and marketing background, I didn’t want to build another game factory. I wanted to create a space where creativity leads the process rather than merely decorating it at the end. We observe the market, but we don’t copy it. Our games must bring something fresh: a twist in expected value, story-driven mathematical progression, and the feeling that you’re entering a living world. We usually start with the story we want to tell, and then we build the mathematics around it.

iGaming Times: You view slots as "interactive fairytales." Can you walk us through a specific mechanic where narrative drives retention?

Anna Satori: In our upcoming titles, the narrative isn’t decoration; it is the core of the experience. One example is our progressive story layers mechanic. Players unlock new scenes, character reactions, hidden sequences, and emotional moments that are tied directly to expected value and mathematical progression.

Players stay not just to chase a win, but because they genuinely want to see what happens next. That’s where we see the future of retention: in emotional engagement, not just financial anticipation.

iGaming Times: You launched Mooncake in March 2025. What gap did you see in the player experience that convinced you the world needed this studio?

Anna Satori: When I entered the industry, one thing stood out immediately: so many games look exactly the same. The same layouts, the same rhythm. We see the same mechanics sold as "innovation," when in reality, they are just another reskin.

What I didn’t see enough of were premium experiences-games full of colour, personality, and world-building. That’s the gap Mooncake fills. The market today is like a giant cake-there is a slice for everyone, as long as you bring your own flavour.

Tech & Strategy: The Warp Engine

iGaming Times: You brand your OmniRev RGS as a "Warp Engine for iGaming." What critical technical problem does it solve?

Anna Satori: The biggest challenge for operators today is integration speed and flexibility. Many legacy RGS platforms were built in an era when the industry was far less complex, and today they simply can’t keep up. Integrations take months-sometimes even a year.

We built OmniRev to address this directly: fast and lightweight onboarding, a full promo-tool ecosystem (jackpots, missions, tournaments), and an infrastructure that scales without friction. OmniRev isn’t just for operators; it’s for studios. It gives creative teams the modern backbone they need to be bold, fast, and competitive.

iGaming Times: Omnitronix emphasises "Bespoke creations." Do you believe the future of B2B is in smaller, high-quality exclusive batches?

Anna Satori: I believe the future of iGaming is moving toward smaller, more refined, and more exclusive clusters of games, especially in the era of personalised lobbies.

With a strong team, smart processes, and modern technology, it’s absolutely possible to produce high-quality titles consistently. As a new studio building relationships from the ground up, we offer bespoke titles-exclusive or time-limited-to help operators stand out and to strengthen our partnerships.

iGaming Times: Is your long-term vision to become a publishing house for indie studios?

Anna Satori: Yes. Alongside Mooncake, we are building OmniRev as a publishing ecosystem focused on creativity. It’s designed for studios that bring something distinctive: a thematic identity, signature mechanics, or unconventional ideas. We provide the technology and distribution without taking away their identity.

Mooncake is not the only studio we are building. You will see more studios launching from the Omnitronix mothership, including Gamepire and Pandaant, our in-house studios which we are currently developing with partners.

    Leadership & Culture

iGaming Times: You recently shared a story about overcoming a fear of heights. What has been the most terrifying business leap you’ve taken this year?

Anna Satori: My most terrifying moment this year wasn’t technical; it was financial. My resources were dwindling, and I made the decision not to sign an investor agreement that didn’t align with my vision.

I chose integrity over comfort. Freedom over security. And I trusted my intuition. I decided to bootstrap instead of compromising. Looking back, it was absolutely the right decision-it gave me the space to build something truly authentic.

iGaming Times: As a female CEO in the tech-heavy side of iGaming, do you feel the conversation around diversity is translating into opportunities?

Anna Satori: I do see a shift happening. We’re seeing more investment funds actively seeking women founders and more representation on stages. At the same time, I don’t believe in extremes. For me, people matter more than labels. What matters most in business is character, values, and consistency, not gender. I think the industry is moving toward a more balanced, mature, and human approach where competence comes first.

iGaming Times: Looking ahead to 2026, what is next for Omnitronix?

Anna Satori: In 2026, my priorities are clear: the global roll-out of Mooncake through partnerships, and the launch of a completely new game type-our "blue ocean mechanic." This is my ace up the sleeve.

We are also preparing a B2C solution to be launched in 2027, which I’m very excited about. 2026 will be a year of strong execution and creative momentum.
